Hateful miserable bouncers

Sooo, came up to Seattle from PDX yesterday for a show at The Showbox. Was failed by the rude, mean, disrespectful, miserable bouncers to be let in because i had a temporary state issued oregon drivers license. Had i been driving and been pulled over, any state, county or city police officer would have accepted the id. the bouncer at the door wouldnt accept the id even after acknowledging it was legitimate, or with a police officer's ok. the guy really enjoyed ruining our day.Not to mention how downright unnecessarily RUDE he was to us when rejecting the id. I think the guy's life is probably so miserable that he comes to work throwing his stupid bouncer power around to innocent people who travel hundreds of miles to a venue that he works at, and doesn't seem to want his customers there. Let's also touch base on his intelligence, or lack there of. He couldn't describe any policy he or the business he worked for had regarding State issued drivers licenses. His only response to me when asked WHY these are his policies was "Because that's the way it is." Speaking to me like a parent scolding their two year old child. My opinion is the Showbox should do a better job at informing their employees on different IDs not just in Washington because Seattle is a tourist attraction and IDs from out of state are not that uncommon and people travel hundreds of miles just to be turned down by people like him who can't even tell you why he's turning it down other then to just be a complete ass. DO NOT GO TO THE SHOWBOX UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR NIGHT RUINED.
